ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Egg has announced they will be hosting jazz artist Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue. The concert is scheduled for September 1. Trombone Shorty, born as Troy Andrews, has been performing on big stages since he was young, playing at Jazz Fest with Bo Diddley at 4 years old and joining Lenny Kravitz's band as a teenager. Ever since, the New Orleans native has made his name known throughout the music world, collaborating with artists from a multitude of genres, including Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, Bruno Mars and Pharrell Williams. Having performed at Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Lollapalooza, Trombone Shorty will now be bringing his band to Albany. ST. LOUIS - Crews were at the scene of a one-vehicle crash that left a woman dead Thursday morning. Our Nissan Rogue Runner reporter Nic Lopez was at the scene located on I-170 southbound at St. Charles Rock Road, where state troopers were blocking multiple lanes. Man died holding apartment door closed as sister fled shooter, police say 42-year-old Amber Byrum was crossing the southbound lanes when she was struck by the driver. Upon arrival, EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene. There are no reports on the severity of the driver's injuries. LOCKWOOD, Mo. (AP) — A man found hiding in a Missouri barn died in an exchange of gunfire with deputies, authorities said.The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday near the small town of Lockwood in southwestern Missouri. Names of the man killed and the deputies involved in the shooting were not immediately released. Man died holding apartment door closed as sister fled shooter, police say Deputies from Barton and Cedar counties responded to a home as part of an investigation of a stolen truck after the homeowner found the vehicle in his barn, according to a news release from the Western Missouri Sheriff's Critical Incident Investigation Team. The truck had been stolen earlier Wednesday in Barton County.The news release said an armed man was found in the barn, and deputies and the man exchanged gunfire. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are searching for two armed men who robbed a taco stand in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles Wednesday night. The robbery occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Manchester and Towne avenues Responding officers confirmed that a robbery had occurred and that they were searching for two suspects.The suspects were described as two male Hispanics who were in their 20s and stood about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. Both robbers were armed with guns, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed. One suspect was wearing all black, according to police. The second suspect was wearing a blue sweater and black pants. Oscar Lozano was working at the stand when he saw the two suspects come out of a nearby van.“It happened so fast … the guys were in a rush … they left with so little,” Lozano said.
